A comprehensive list of benefits that you might receive can be found here. These measures were announced during Budget 2009 as part of the Government's effort to both ease the impact of the downturn on Singapore businesses and to lay the foundation for future economic growth.

The Calculator focuses on two measures: the Jobs Credit, and the Property Tax Rebate. The Jobs Credit scheme was introduced in the Singapore Budget 2009 to encourage businesses to preserve jobs in the downturn. It provides a significant incentive for businesses to retain existing workers, and where their business warrants, to employ new workers. This is a temporary one-year scheme for 2009.

In addition, the Government will provide a 40% property tax rebate for industrial and commercial properties for 2009. The Government strongly urges landlords to pass on the benefits of this rebate to their tenants.

* The actual benefits you get will depend on the particular terms and conditions for each scheme.
